I have two heat pumps to heat my house 2600 square feet. One heat pump works fine. With the other heat pump when the auxiliary heat comes on it will not cycle off. I have to manually move the setting to a lower temperature to stop the auxiliary heat. When it is on the air is always cold. Typically this only happens at night. The temperature will usually drop about 8 degrees at night in the house while the auxiliary heat is on. Any ideas on what is wrong?

Two problems

It appears your HP is inefficient and can't keep up;so the aux heat is trying, however it too has problems.Check all your breakers and make sure they are on.It is time for a TECH to come out and do a service analysis of both units.PDF
