fan only option

fan only option

i have an upflow oil furnace.the wiring diagrams are shaky.does anyone know how to wire in the "fan only" option?

Generally on the thermostat connections you would connect R to G to run the blower constantly. You may not have a G terminal on an older furnace.

let me clarify;i have installed(and used on my old furnace) a timer to run the fan manually.i need to find what wire goes where on the furnace to rehook it.

Post the make and model of the furnace, make and model of timer. Pics might help.

As Furd has posted, R = 24VAC and G = fan.
Your timer will probably wire here but more information might carify this.
