Mobile home furnace

Pilot light will stay lit. When you turn up the thermostat the furnace will stay lit for about 15 seconds then it will go out and put the pilot light out. You can repeat this step and it will do the same thing. I have changed the thermocoupler.

The usual cause of this kind of problem is a dirty pilot burner and pilot orifice, which causes the pilot flame to burn yellow like a candle flame rather than with a sharp, steady blue flame like a small blowtorch.

A candle flame is easily blown out. So is your pilot light.

You need to disassemble and clean the pilot burner with a wire brush, and remove and clean the pilot orifice with a wire from your wire brush. Reassemble and reinstall the pilot burner and report back on the results.

Thanks for the advice but this did not help. It was suggested that I try to change the stack so I am going to give that a try.
