Beckett - Honeywell R7184B remains in lockout mode

Beckett - Honeywell R7184B remains in lockout mode

I have brand new (installed around march/april 2010) oil/boiler furnace with 3-zones that has a reset button that flashes 1/2 second (indicating lockout). I followed written instructions to reset with no success. I had service call the first winter of installation (air was trapped in piping - flushed and no problems since). Of course its been off all summer but now the furnace keeps flashing and will not reset. Will I need to call a services guy @ $200/pop on this furnace, this soon?

STOP PUSHING THE RESET!!!!!!!!! You are going to soak the heat exchanger with oil!!! Call a PRO!!!!!!!!!

Luckily though, that control has a 'hard' lockout mode that is designed to prevent that scenario.

I agree, call a tech... if it locks out it means the burner isn't firing for some reason.

Oh, by the way, an oil system should be cleaned and serviced yearly.
