evaporator coil question

I will replace my gas fired furnace (3 ton, 70,000 BTU) and have been advised to replace the evap coil for a matching unit at the same time. Seems like good advice since the new furnace is only 14 inches wide while the old furnace being replaced is 21 inches wide. Anyway I am trying to choose between two brands and the only difference I see is the height of the evap coil, 23 inches versas 16 inches. both are "A" coils and my concern is if there is more surface area or not. Any suggestions?

Your furnace being replaced shouldn't have anything to do with your coil, they are two separate systems. You should be able to get a new furnace installed while leaving the existing coil intact.
