Lennox gas furnace will not light

I have a Lennox GHR 26 furnace that will not light. When the thermostat calls for heat, the sequence appears normal. The purge blower comes on and the ignigtor glows and there is power to the gas valve but the solenoids are not energized.

So the ignitor glows and you get 24 VAC to the gas valve but no main burner gas, is that right?

That implies that the gas is turned off someplace or you have a bad gas valve.

Do you have other gas appliances? Are they operating normally? That would prove that you have gas.

Check the shut off valve at the furnace to be sure it is open, and the electric gas valve to be sure the valve is turned to the on position.

I take it you used a voltmeter to verify you have 24 VAC turned on to the gas valve after the ignitor heats up?

If so, I'd disconnect a wire at the gas valve and check for continuity across the gas valve with an ohmmeter. An open circuit would prove that the gas valve is burned out.
