Gibson furnace burners don't work

Hi, I have a Gibson furnace. When thermostat asks for heat, I can see the inducer draft motor starts up, pressure switch pulls in, igniter glows red, but the burners do not come on. I can also see the LED flinks three times. When I push somewhere on the 9-pin connector on the control board with my hand, the burner comes on, but it goes out once my hand is off the connector. What is the problem? Please help!

Sounds like you have a poor electrical connection through that plug. I'd start by moving the individual wires to determine which one is the problem. Then us a pair of needle nose pliers to see if you can pull that wire out of the plug, and then reinsert it and solder it in place to the brass fitting it fits in to.

Check both sides of the plug--- it could be the side you aren't checking that is the problem.

Thanks! I'll try and also check the other side.
