Reznor model F50 1990

The fan on my Reznor F50 cuts on and off sometimes, but not all the time. And eventually it will run correctly. Any Suggestions?

Do you know where the fan switch is on the heater?

Some fan switches have a heater that is energized to keep the fan on constantly after the fan switches on initially.

Those fan switches would have four wires to them --- two fat wires for 120VAC power for the fan, and two skinny wires for 24 VAC power for the heater. If the heater coil burns out, you might nhave the symptoms you describe.

So I'd look for the fan switch and see if it has two or four wires to it.

I went an loked at it but I believe it is located behind the side panel of the furnace, so i will have to move a bunch of my junk out of the way before i can take it off. The only thing visible on back of the furnace was a small white block with a thin red wire and thin white wire running to it. I will attempt to get the side panel tomorrow to take it off. thanks

Or, it may be cold air over the fan switch causing it to cycle until the area is warm.
