Amana SSE 80 furnace help

MY furnace has turned on in a couple of days. When I noticed this the first thing I did was check the filter, which I had forgotten to change awhile back. My thermostat says that the system is on but the furnace does nothing. I took the panels off looking for a reset button but could not find one. I did see an on off switch at the junction box so I turned that off then on again. I put the unit back together and turned the power back on. At this time the red light was on, (was not on previously). I turned my thermostat back on and the red light went off, but the furnace still does nothing. Also, I did replace the batteries in the thermostat. What next? Is there a reset button?

no reset. Check the control board for LED flashing lights or a steady light. Check the control board or the back of the blower door for a legend that states what the LED flashes mean.
