Does oil continue to be pumped when burner switch is off,

Does oil continue to be pumped when burner switch is off,

but thermostat is on? Thanks

The oil pump is attached to the burner motor so if the burner is not running the oil pump is stopped.

There are, however, some fault conditions that could allow a small amount of oil to flow into the combustion chamber.
