Hello,
Long story short, my wife and I live in my mother in law's house. Allegedly, they used to be able to run the fan on the furnace, which would bring the cool air from the basement up to the rest of the house. I would really like to do that right now because it's sweltering here.
To that effort, the last time my father-in-law was here, he shut off the pilot light, but couldn't otherwise figure out how to make the fan blow.
We have a Lennox G11e furnace, and when I moved in, I installed a RiteTemp 8022 thermostat.
Any thoughts on how to get the fan to turn on?

If there are two wires to the t-stat.
Take the cover off the furnace.
Locate the fan/limit switch
Push the white peg in.
