Freewatt system

Does anyone have any experience with a Freewatt system? See Freewatt Eco-Friendly Heating & Power Systems. Can I ask what it cost you for how many sq ft home? Does it cool too or only provide heat? Are you happy with it?

It's nothing special - essentially co-generation paired up with a backup furnace.

When there's a call for heat, a small nat. gas generator kicks in; the electricity produced is fed into your electrical system, and the waste heat is used to heat the house to a small extent.

The brochure says that the generator produces 12 000 btu/hr of waste heat; not very much, definitely not enough to heat a house when it's below 45-50F outside.

Generator capacity is 1200 watts - not much at all.

Cooling would have to be provided by a separate system. (using the same ductwork)
