Tiger Loop full with oil

I just noticed that my Tiger Loop is full with oil. The oil heater seems to be running fine otherwise.

Has anyone experienced a similar situation? If so, what might the cause be?

Thanks,
Scott

This is not highly unusal especially if the Tiger Loop is below the oil level in the tank. Usually a spring loaded check valve such as a Firomatic B-105 HCV (3/8') or B-205 HCV (1/2") ahead of the loop will do the trick. The best way is either get the loop above the oil level in the tank or install an oil safety valve. In each case the idea is to prevent either gravity flow or siphoning into the loop.
