American Standard Freedom 80 Comfort R - 3 Lights Error

Hi,

I have an American Standard Freedom 80 2 Stage Upflow/Horizontal (Model #AUD100R9V5KO) furnace purchased in 2001 that has been working fine. This summer it stopped working once so I reset the circuit breaker and it continued working but I noticed a smell that reminded me of a burnt motherboard on a computer. When I turned on the heat yesterday it did not work. I checked the light on the board and when I first turn it on it blinks quickly for about 5 seconds and then goes into a 3 blink pattern. I can see a burn mark on the circuit board. Should I replace the circuit board or is there something else I should check?

yep, time for a new board. The replacement part number is KIT15815 which includes an ignitor upgrade and small harness.
