Question Can anyone please help?

I am trying to connect 2 zone valves WR1311-102(3wires) to only 1 thermostat(3wires). I attempted it already, and it doesn't seem to be working correctly....1 zone valve will close but the other one will open,it just keeps going in circles. If someone would please help, i would greatly appreciate it. Thank you.

From the 1311 series installation manual:

Do not attempt to wire two or more zone valves in
parallel to operate from a single thermostat. (If valves
are wired in parallel, the motors may run continuously,
due to feedback between the motor holding circuits.)

If I were to put one valve with 3 wires, and the other valve with 2 wires and connect it to a 1 thermostat, would I have the same problem?
Is there any solution to having 2 zone valves connected to 1 thermostat?

You need a double pole, 24 volt AC coil relay. Use the thermostat to actuate the relay and wire the valve motors to the relay's normally open contacts, one motor per pole.

Start a new thread.

If your furnace isn't working, Take the cover off the burner compartment of the furnace. Obtain the make and model of the furnace off the rating plate in the burner compartment and post it here.

Observe the sequence of events that occurs at the furnace when you turn up the thermostat and post that sequence of events in order and in detail.
