Carrier weatherman xs problem

I noticed the house being cold. Checked thermostat. It was on 70 but the house was 60. Here's the problem. If I flip the switch the furnace kicks on and blows heat but just for one cycle. Not enough to get up to the thermostat setting. I keep having to go down and flip the switch.

check for a diagnostic LED on the control board through the viewing window in the blower door while the unit is acting up.

Also....

Take the cover off the burner compartment of the furnace. Obtain the make and model of the furnace off the rating plate in the burner compartment and post it here.

Observe the sequence of events that occurs at the furnace when you turn up the thermostat and post that sequence of events in order and in detail.
