furnace problems

I have a natural gas Winchester furnace. It wont heat to desired temperature... set it to 68 but only heats to 63. The burners were cleaned, has a new air filter in it, replaced the flame sensor and installed a new programmable thermostat by Lux.... no lights on diagnostics board to indicate problem. What now?

Could be thermostat error. What happens if you set the stat to a higher temp, maybe 70 or 72?

More evidence that guessing isn't an effective diagnostic method.

Take the cover off the burner compartment. Describe in order and in detail the sequence of events that occurs when you turn up the thermostat to 80 degrees.
