Bryant inducer motor

Should this fan motor be hot to the touch? I suspect it may be going bad as there is a slight rumble before combustion begins.

Warm yes, hot no. The rumble, along with excessive heat probably means bearings have reached the end of their life and it's time to get a replacement inducer assembly.

Usually the inducer motor ASSEMBLY can be pretty easily removed from the furnace by removing a few screws or bolts. That would allow you to see if the fan is hard to turn, which would confirm that the motor is going bad.
