York furnace won't ignite

Ok I put in a new ignitor and it fired up as it should. Little later my wife says its blowing cold air again so I go down clean flame sensor with sand paper and turn power back on. Control panel makes some clicks fan kicks on for 15-20 sec and a click and his of gas for 3 sec and ignitor never glows. No lights came on so no diagnostic code from box? Any ideas

Was the old igniter bad or did you just decide to change it ?

So....my thoughts are that the igniter was fine and something else in the system is causing trouble.
You will need to check the igniter circuit for 120 volts. It could very well be a bad connection at the control module.

If the gas did actually come on for a few seconds then it's definitely in the igniter circuit. The module assumed that the igniter was glowing which is why it released gas.

My York has had similar intermittent connections in the past.

Please describe in detail and in order the sequence of events that occurs when you turn up the thermostat.
