Lennox Elite 90 Furnace

I am trying to locate the flame sensor on this unit. Blower goes on but the burner does not light.

If the burners do not light, it's not the flame sensors fault. If the burners do light, but then go out after a few seconds, then it could be the flame sensor.

Please give us a blow by blow of what happens when the thermostat calls for heat.

Trane XV80 losing its mind?

Hi all, I've got a propane Trane XV80 that seems to be losing its mind. I'm seeing two problems. 1) After the heating cycle, the fan runs for a [I]long [/I]time, maybe 30 minutes to an hour. I've also noticed that it will sometimes stay running on warm days when the temperature is warmer than the thermostat setting. After cycling power, the fan shuts off and won't turn on again until the furnace lights. 2) This morning, the temperature was two degrees below the thermostat setting. The fan was blowing cold air and the furnace wasn't lit. After cycling power, the fan came on and the furnace lit. In both of the above cases fudging with the thermostat control had no effect. I'm handy around the house but not familiar with propane furnaces or how they're supposed to behave. Any thoughts on where to start? Thanks, Michael P.S. Yes, I just signed up. Mid-Atlantic Region Stick Built Split Level Home Furnace: Comfortmaker/SnyderGeneral Corporation Model no. - GUA100A016-1N Serial No. - 0000246525-N19-0131 MFG Date: 05-86 Fuel: Natural Gas Thermostat: Payne PROBLEM: The Furnace blower does not always cycle normally. From the best I can tell, once the selected temperature is reached (70 degrees), the furnace blower continues to run. The burners do not appear to be lit although I have not actually checked yet so I am essentially assuming this because the temperature of the forced air is cold. Thanks in advance.Read More
