Trane XR80 blower off delay relay

My Trane xr 80 heats fine, but intermittently the blower stays on, and does not turn off after the temp is reached. I cleaned and vacuumed everything, and there seems to be only 1 circuit board in this unit. The dip switches are on this board for time delay settings, I am assuming the off delay relay is part of the board, so the entire board should be replaced. Am I correct, I can not find a parts list, or illustrated parts break down. Thank You, Rocco

Yes, very likely the relay on the circuit board that turns the power on and off to the fan is sticking in the on position.

One way to test this is to tap the circuit board with the handle of a table knife to see if the fan shuts off when the tap takes place. You don't need to POUND on the circuit board --- the idea is to see if it can be joggeded loose. If that happens it tends to confirm the idea of a sticking relay.

You should find the make and model of the circuit board or ignition control on the part. Look that up and post it here.

I would recommend an OEM CNT05165 control board. IF you go aftermarket (-843) make sure you read the instructions and install the the roll out jumper on the control board.
