Did u resolve the problem?
I'm having similar problem. The flame only came up 2 seconds and then went out few seconds later the ignition started again, the flame came up about 2 seconds and went out again. It repeated several times and then stopped.

Appreciate if you could share your experience.

Start out by cleaning your flame sensor.

Installed new thermostat but it has no power

Connected a new thermostat (honeywell RTH8580WF). plugged the wires in, and the "C" wire in to the thermostat. powered stuff on and nothing shows up on thermostat. Went into attic to make sure that the "C" power line was indeed hooked up up stairs and it was. Checked the fuse on the furnace board and it was good. No error codes being flashed. I have the breaker off for the furnace/ac now, but if turn it on, I hear the fan running on its own. Just to rule out the new thermostat, I plugged my old one back in and it was not working either.Read More

Looking at a houw with oil heat - and what I found strange was that the water heater was also oil fired. Apparently the furnace requires a 7" duct up the chimney - and the water heater also requires a 7" duct up the chimney. I am told these should be separate - but the water heater vent goes into the furnace vent - which then goes up the chimney. Is this a problem?Read More
