york furnace 8 red flashes

I have a York PS8B12N100UH11B - burners supply heat for 5 cycles - then system shuts down - showing 8 red flashes. Diagnostic fault code indicates "ignition lockout due to recycles" . System will shut off for about an hour and then start up again and the problem repeats. Manual states "low gas pressure or faulty gas valve" - any repair advice would be appreciated!!
Thank you

Welcome to the forums.

Is your furnace running on propane ?

Is so.....have you checked the tank pressure.....could the tank be low ?

Visually check the flame to see how it looks also.

If you believe the propane system is ok then I would try cleaning the flame sensor rod first. The flame sensor is a single rod that sits in the flame. You remove it's one screw and clean the rod with a scotch pad or steel wool. Make it nice and shiny.
