275 gl oil tank question
Old fisherman here in New Hampshire,
I am installing a new horizontal oil tank from the Depot. The accessory kit is sold separately. It will draw from the top. At the bottom, do I still need some type of valve to drain condensation ? the top will have the fill pipe...the "whistle"....the vent pipe & gauge or should those be separate from each other?
thanks.

Yes there should be a drain valve on the tank bottom. Be sure to install a cap or plug on/in the valve to prevent accidental opening.
If the tank has four tappings on the top, use separate tappings for the fill, vent (whistle), gauge, & supply line. If there are only three, you will have to use a combination vent (with whistle) & gauge. Be sure to install a flared shut off valve as close to the tank as possible in the burner supply line.
