boiler temperature/pressure gauge showing condensation

hello
i have a WEIL-McLAIN WTGO series3 hot water oil fed boiler.
i noticed a small amount of moisture/condensation visible under the glass of the basic circular temperature/pressure gauge mounted on its front. is this something serious to be concerned about? other than that everything seems to be working fine

thanks

It could be indicative of a leak, either water or combustion gases, under the sheet metal casing. How long has it been since a full cleaning and service was performed?

i have a service contract so its cleaned annually and serviced as needed.
the gauge is original to the boiler which is about 17 years old

Might still be a leak of either water or combustion gases. Is it always showing the condensation? A new gauge is about $25 so replacement isn't expensive and it could be a leak internal to the gauge itself.

You can turn off the city water to the system and then watch the gauge over the next few days to see if the system loses pressure. If it does then you have a leak somewhere and the foggy gauge is a good place to start.
