Furnace won't kick on

My thermostat is set at 70 degrees, when temp falls below 68 the thermostat clicks but the furnace doesn't kick on. However when I got to the furnace and turn the power switch off, then flip it back on the furnace turns on immediately and heats to desired temperature. Need help so I dont have to go to my furnace to flip the power switch every time i want heat! Thanks in advance!

Next time it won't start, if you have a view window of your board, look to see if you have a flashing code. Different makes have different codes, some are usually defined on the schematic on your blower door.

Take the cover off the burner compartment of the furnace.

Turn the thermostat up and observe the sequence of events which and report those here.

Also, locate the rating plate in the burner compartment of the furnace. Report the make and model of the furnace here.
