Carrier Weathermaker 58SXC furnace won't ignite

I just turned on the thermostat for the season. There was no hot air blowing out.

I turned the switch down and turn back on. The furnace was cycling and the the ignitor was cherry red. Gas valve is in on position but the furnace won't fire up.

What to try next? how do I make sure the gas valve is working properly?

Measure for 24VAC between blue and brown at the gas valve after your ignitor glows.

Does the ignitor continue to glow indefinitely or does it power down after ~45 seconds?

is it DC on the ohm meter?

I think it is 0 volt

It lights up and then shuts down after about a minute or so. sometimes it lights up more and then dims, and then lights up again.

BTW, Are the 2 plugs under "C" the same? I might have mixed them up.

It's AC volts. Wiring looks ok.
Measure between P and C for 24VAC when the ignitor is glowing.

i did using the ohm meter on AC dial. I got .01 V

What does that mean? What do I need to change? can I handle it myself or I need an electrician?
