Heater pressure switch

I have had a problem with my heater since last winter. The heater comes on but never blows hot air. I found an article that said to remove tubing from heat pressure switch and blow into it. This worked and heater began working. However, I have to do this a couple times every few days/weeks. Does this mean pressure switch is bad since it works after I blow into it?

Welcome to our forums!

You need to be a bit more specific than saying you are working on a "heater".

I assume you mean furnace and maybe even a gas one but you need to describe what you have more accurately and give us the make and model of it.

A picture posted to this site would help even more.

I will also add that if you are blowing into an air proving switch you could be bypassing a safety switch which could cause a serious accident.

I suggest you inspect the hose to make sure both ends are clear as well as the entire length of the hose. Find the port on the inducer motor where this hose attaches and use a paper clip or very small drill bit to clear it of debris. It needs to be open from the port opening all the way to the fan blade inside the inducer.
