Connecting to control board

I'm trying to connect the my humidifier to the control board. My Lennox g60uh(X) has "HUM" prongs but I couldn't find anything at the home centers that connect to those prongs. What gauge wire should I use to connect to the transformer?

14 gauge stranded wire with 1/4" terminals will work if you are connecting to the 120V HUM terminal.

Can I just connect to the "W" and "C" directly even though the thermostat is connected to those wires as well? That way I don't have to bother with the extra transformer?

The HUM terminal on the control board is 120V. You would have to refer to your humidifier installation
instructions to determine how to properly wire it.

My humidistat is 24v. My humidifier was wired incorrectly before. It was connected to a transformer that was connected to the junction box that powers the furnace. It was on all the time. I only want it open the solenoid when the furnace is blowing heat.

I was hoping to skip wiring the "HUM" 120 terminal to a transformer and wire the humidistat to the same terminals that connect to the thermostat.

If you post the model number of your humidifier I am sure someone here will be able to assist you. I suggest you post in the humidifier section to get better results.
