Better Hydro-Air Operation

My hydro-air units are controlled by strap-on aquastats on the return lines of hot water coils. I'm tired of playing with aquastat settings to get proper operation and I'm getting alot of false calls for fan operation.

I've played around with the aquastat and 120degF setting works well to provide hot air passing through the coils. But, whenever HW stops circulating, it take s a long time for the fan to turn off and starts blowing cold air during the end of its cycle. I've found a happy medium with 140degF setting and 5 degF differential but I'm not please with it.

Googling "Hydro-Fan Control", Taco makes a product. The HAFC101.

This looks promising. However, does anyone know the sequence of turning the fan off? Does the thermostat turn it off?

My brother had the same issue in his garage. They replaced the strap on with an immersion type unit. The fan operates much better now being the sensor is actually in the water.
