loud bang

We have steam heat in our house. We converted from oil to natural gas after the installation we had noticed once in a while we will hear a loud bang and like a sound of steam being released in one corner and then a few seconds later another loud bang from another area. I don't remember it ever doing that when we had oil. The band with the sound of the release sounds like its from the corner furthest from the furnace the other bang a few seconds later sounds closer to the furnace. We had the new installation in 2011.

Usually banging from what I know about steam is there may be to much water in the system..

Where is the water level on the site glass? Do you have an auto water feed? If manual possibly the valve does not close fully....

The steam pros will chime in...
