Texaco Firechief gun burner replace electrodes

This is an old gun few have heard of except in the north. I need to replace the electrodes and can not find any numbers? I think the only difference is the length of the porcelain and the length and bend of the electrode itself, is that true?

All of the Texaco burners I remember seeing were actually Beckett private labeled for Texaco.

many years ago, i remember my parents having a plastic tub that hyung on a cast iron radiator, which we filled with water that acted as a humifier as the heat came on and the water evaporated. Can anyone advise where i can buy one now. If i remeber correctly, it was grey plastic, and fit the contour of a standard cast iron standing radiator.Read More

I have an American Standard Freedom 80 gas forced air furnace that is 15 years old. Today when I came home from work, I noticed the furnace was running. I went to turn up the thermostat from 55 to 61, and then very shortly after that the furnace turned off-- nowhere near 61 degrees. So I manipulated the thermostat some more and furnace came back on. Some things I noticed--When I turn up the thermostat I hear the usual click, the pilot appears to light normally and the blower waits and then blows warm air initially but after a short period of time the air is no longer warm and when I touch the flue pipe it is then no longer warm/hot but the furnace continues to blow air. The furnace does seem to shut off and not continuously blow cool air. What kind of problem am I looking at and of course, what will it cost to repair (ballpark figure)?
