Unhappy York stellar furnace will not ignite

One of two york "stellar" natural gas furnaces has ignition but will not ignite. All mesurable/observable functions of bad unit seem to match those of the side-by-side good unit. All those things that are "checkable": Initial exhaust fan coming on, voltages per sequence of good unit, air evacuation mover blower coming on, etc. ) ignitor glows very brite red. I also tried a cooking grill lighter wand. The sequence and sound of the valve(s) operating seems ok and the "sound" of gas flowing seems ok, but no fire. Does anyone have any ideas other than a new control unit (or new furnace?)

You posted that it has ignition. Does the ignitor light a pilot?
Post the model number of the furnace that is giving you a problem.
