Day and Night Gas Furnace Issues
Hello all,
We have been recently having some issues with our Day and Night gas furnace. It's an old unit. So what happens is that when the pilot light kicks on it only stays on for about 5 seconds and then shuts off. It does this sometimes for a half hour before the fan kicks on and starts to pump heat to the house. However, once it starts to pump out heat to the house, it will shut off after a minute and then kick on again a few minutes later and pump heat to the house. What the heck is going on? I appreciate any and all feedback!
Regards,
Chad

Welcome to the forums.
Can you post the model number for that furnace ?
Could be a possible thermocouple issue with the pilot.
Could be a plugged pilot orifice too.
