Hello I have a Trance XB90 and after the furnace is on for a little while the burners tend to sputter in and out as if its being cut off and then turning back on. It has the appearance of it running out of gas but I know the line is clear. I had a friend take a look at it awhile back and he had leveled the furnance telling me there is water trapped, he had also cleared out the tubing around the inducer as it seemed there was water clogged in there. Afterwards it had seemed to fix it for a few weeks and now its back to what it was doing. I checked and water is not clogged by the inducer outlets and water is running thru it. It seems I can hear water swirling around in the inducer but that may be normal. When I turn the furnace of at the power switch it does seem to release the water into the drain. We have an older gas floor furnace and back in October, we had to replace the heat sensor because the pilot light would not stay lit. Replaced the sensor and it's been working like a champ. Today, we lowered the thermostat because it was warm in the house. Later in the evening we turned it back up because the house was a little to cold...When the thermostat was turned up, the furnace, pilot, EVERYTHING shut off. We relit the pilot, which stayed lit, let it alone for about 30 minutes, turned the thermostat back up, and once again, everything went out. What would cause this sudden occurrence? It can't be the heat sensor because the pilot will stay on, it's just when the furnace kicks on, it heats for a few minutes, then shuts off. Help? Someone? anyone?
