Setting Up A American Standard UHMC100ACV4VA Furnace

I have the Amercian Standard 100,000BTU modulating furnace converted for propane and hooked up to a Honeywell Wireless Thermostat. The furnace runs nice but is always cycling with very short down times. I read about setting the stage delay but I ma not sure what the stage delay does. It is factory set at 00 minutes and can be set for 5, 10 or 15 minutes. I have the temp set for 72 degrees F and I never see it change from the 72. My other house the furnace will not cut in until the thermostat changes temp from say 72 to 70 or 71, then it will cut in. I tried changing the stage delay but i don,t see any change in the furnace. can someone tell me what the stage delay does and if my furnace is operating normally.
Thanks
Sheldon

I am not familiar with your particular furnace but normally a stage delay is used when a single stage thermostat is used with a multi-stage furnace. If you have the proper modulating thermostat then stage delay would be deactivated.
