Well, it's a Honeywell. I don't know the make and model. I want to know what it should be set on? Should I push it to Auto, Fan or Man?

Lawrosa, I have a Goodman GMT115-5 Furnace. It is 115,000 BTU's. This is connected to where the A/C coil is. If you take it out, it has a long metal rod that goes into the A/C coil. So I don't know if it is set right?

I did some research and it is an old Honeywell limit switch. I just can't figure out if it is on the right setting. You know how it has the small switch in front of it. It says Man, Fan and Auto. It seems to be pushed on Auto. So should I have it on a different setting? Is it on the right setting?

The three "tabs" are the settings for safety shutdown (200), blower start (150) and blower stop (100). I think all three are set a bit high and I would rather see them at 190, 130 and 80 or 90. The Auto-Fan-Man switch is to run the blower manually and should normally be left in the auto position.

Are you SURE this control is even in use? Most furnaces built in the last thirty years have this control function built in to the furnace proper. Is there a conduit and/or wires going to the control? Can you remove the cover to see if there are any connected wires? Does the blower run if you switch it to Man?

That's definitely not part of that furnace. The Goodman GMT's blower is controlled from the main control board. That limit switch may have been from a previous furnace and just left there.
