Oil Furnace / Average Daily Consumption ??

We Heat with an Oil Furnace, our home is your average Matchbox Style with no wasted spaces and finished basement..It is well insulated against this so called Eastern Ontario, Polar Vortex...I'm just curious if there is a Scale or Average Daily Consumption guide that would Rate your Home for Heating ?? I keep the Meter Printouts that come with the Delivery so We can easily calculate how much we burn each day....My calculations came out to 9.2 litres ( CDN ) per day....Thanks....

The best way is to compare degee days to your fuel use. I'm sure there are websites which report heating degree days for your area. Off the top of my head, 2.43 gallons (U.S.) per day doesn't seem bad. Presuming 140,000 btu/gal & 80% combustion efficiency, that amounts to only 11,340 btu/hr heat loss. Sounds low to me.
