bryant plus 80 furnace repair

Hello all. I started having heating problems about a month ago intermittently and eventually it deteriorated to the point that the furnace wouldn't turn on. The exhaust fan would not tun on or would cut out causing the furnace to not start or turn off before heating the house. If I played with the connector to the board I could get it to stay running until I let go of the connector. I figured bad connection on the board and ordered one of the cheap ICM boards for it (ICM 282). Hooked the board up, ran through the test sequence no problem. Commanded heat mode no problem and ran fine. As soon as I hook up the COM wires to the thermostat and turn it on the gas valve wont open. Possible bad board or thermostat issue? Thanks.

Welcome to the forums.

How did you "command" the heat mode ?
Normally you would connect a jumper wire from the R terminal to the W terminal. If the heat worked.... it's the thermostat or wiring. If the heat didn't work.... it's a local problem.
