Roth Double Wall Tank - Odor Problems
The tank was installed about 8 years ago. We periodically get oil odors. It seems to happen after fill up in the middle of winter.
Service Techs have informally said this is reported to be a common problem with the Roth DWT, but I have not found any threads to indicate this.
Has anyone had, or heard, or such an issue? If so, what was the diagnosis and solution?
Thanks.

C,
I haven't put in a great amount but the ones I have done are working fine with no oder complaints but that's not to say it doesn't happen.
The tanks have plastic fittings on the tank that aren't supposed to be overtightened but they might be worth checking.
Inside those plastic caps are O rings. You never know.
It might be worth giving Roth a call. They carry a million dollars insurance against leakage. They may have an answer.
Good Luck,
