Carrier furnace error code 33 at reset.

I have a carrier furnace model number 58PAV070 showing error code 33 at start up. It will not reset or stop blowing after reset during the 90second restart. I have a new blower motor, and have replaced the filter. I don't know what else to. Heck to solve my issue. Please help!!

Welcome to the forums.

From what you are saying.... the main blower fan is running normally..... correct ?

If that is correct..... remove the burner access service door. Look for a safety sensor mounted just above the burners. It will have two wires on. There are several of these safety thermostats used in the furnace but the one you are looking for will have a little red button on it.

Try pushing that red button in and seeing if the furnace fires up. If it does.... that safety is called a roll out switch and means you have an uncontrolled flame issue. When that sensor gets heated from the flames it trips. It could possibly mean a defective heat exchanger issue. This type of problem usually requires a service technician to open and check the inside of the furnace.

I am not able to find a roll out switch with a red button. There is a switch for resetting that has a yellow button but it is attached to the vent that blows out exhaust. There is a two wire set-up just above the burners but no button on it. I attempted to look at this part and I think I short circuited the wire that attached to it because I'm now getting a short circuit error code. I'm going to replace the part of the wire that has a fuse like peice and see where that gets me. Any more advice would be appreciated.

After replacing the fuse you can measure across your safeties in the red circuit (between 1 and 7) for 24 volts to see what is locked out.
