Question How to Change Blower Speed - Ultra 80 III

I have an Ultra 80 III, which is probably about 15+ years old. I was told the blower motor is set too high (at highest setting) and needs to be reduced by one.

Any suggestions for this poor old first timer?

Welcome to the forums.

Set to highest speed for A/C or heat ?
Usually A/C is the highest speed and heat is medium high or medium.

Ultra 80 is only a trade name. We'd need the actual model number for the unit.

The wiring diagram should be posted on the blower door of your unit. If you pulled the door off it should have what colors are what speed and you could look on the board to see which ones were connected and to where.

High may be the correct setting.

You don't need to change it if the temperature rise is correct -> google how to check it.

You shouldn't change speeds without measuring airflow first.
