furnace ignitor glows but won't start furnace

We have a Trane Gas furnace (Model# BLU0J0J936A0). For the past 3 mornings, we have awakened to a cold house. Sometime in the night the furnace is shutting off. We had been able to start it again each time by turing it off on the thermostat, waiting about 5 minutes, and then turning it back on. That didn't work today.
We tried to start it manually on the furnace unit. The ignitor glows bright orange and there's a faint smell of gas. But it still won't start. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!!
