Lennox Elite series furnace won't start up.

I'm trying to figure out why my 14 year old furnace won't start up - it ignites but then cuts out and repeats the cycle several times before going into hard lockout. I've cleaned the air filter, the flame sensor and checked the exhaust, but that hasn't made any difference. I noticed that the small piston on top of the pressure switch goes up and down when the furnace is trying to start. Is that normal? Or is that indicating a problem with the pressure somewhere?

Welcome to the forums.

Is there a control board flashing a trouble code ? The board may be in the blower section. You'd look thru a sight glass in the door to see it.

After several attempts with the lights flashing together both lights then flash fast, which indicates ignition failure and hard lockout. If I go through the reset process I get the same result.
