carrier weathermaker code 32
I have a carrier weathermaker model 58tma10016 with control board hk42fz005. I get a code 32 due to the inducer not starting. All switches checked and working. I get 24vac with t-stat asks for heat. Initially I don't hear the inducer relay kick in but after a power reset the relay will come on intermittently and the inducer motor will run for a short time while the relay is energized. After many safety circuit resets the relay finally activates and the inducer motor runs then code 32 clears and I get heat. I don't think the problem is any of the sensors but I'm focusing on the main board as the culprit. I am looking at replacing the board with a carrier board 325879-751 or finding someone who can repair my old board hk42fz005. Any suggestions greatly appreciated. Thanks

All vents have been checked and are clear. No blockages anywhere and replaced tubing to pressure switches. I also want to add that the reason I shut off the t-stat is that the furnace is in my garage and I turn it off when I leave.

Welcome to the forums.
It does sound like a control board problem. However... I would put a voltmeter on the inducer motor leads to confirm that you do have a loss of 120vac and that it is not a motor problem.
I don't think you'll find anyone to service your old board. Too much of a liability.

No loss to inducer motor. Got 120vac and as we speak furnace is running. There are 2 relays involved IDR and IHI/LOR. The first one is the spst inducer motor which is normally open and the second relay is the inducer speed change relay spdt for hi/lo operation. I can hear one of them try to engage but then drop out immediately. That's the time I do my multiple reset and that relay finally stays on. I can hear a high pitched sound as the relay tries to activate.

No loss to inducer motor.
Yes....you are going to have 120v on the motor when it's running but you need the check that voltage when the motor is not running.

Just checked the leads to the inducer. When furnace finishes cycle no 120vac present at the motor leads. How do I check 120vac going to the relay without removing the board. Thanks
