Hot inducer blower motor
I had a new inducer installed. I never checked the temperature of the old one, but the new one, is hot to the touch when running for awhile. It is measuring about 63C/140F with my thermometer gun.
Is that normal for an inducer motor to run that hot?
Theres a temperature standard/rating system for motor right? How do my readings play into that?
The new inducer is a Fasco 702112686C (93W13)
Its rated at 2.35A and while running I have tested 2.0A with my clamp meter.

Is just the inducer motor running or is the furnace actually firing ?
If the furnace is running and producing heat that motor will be red hot as it's processing exhaust gases. Perfectly normal.

The furnace works. I think you ask because if it was overheating it would be shutting down. Thermal protection of the motor too.
So is it safe to say if my amperage reading is within the spec on the label that it is not overheating?
