Furnace Control board replacement

I had my furnace serviced and per the service company technician indicated i need a new furnace control board, Flame sensor and igniter.

I looked online for a replace board and found the exact brand of board (Carrier Bryant Furnace Control Board CEPL130438-01), but also found one made by ICM CEPL13043801 here.
so i have a few questions.
Which board is better or are they the same?
Which site is a good site to purchase from?

Any suggestions would help.

Thanks.

Thanks for the website.

I took a look at the parts i needed and i noticed that the sensor didn't have a model number or any numbers on it anywhere. How do i know which type sensor i need.

after looking up the board it seems that what i thought was the board model number may not be correct. is the 130438-01 the board number or the harness number? If this number is not the furnace board number where is the number located or what number on the board do i use?

I took another look at your first post, Sounds like the service tech is trying to cover all base's with that diagnoses. What problem are you having with the furnace?

There is currently no issues but trying to be proactive and replace things before they break down. The board has burnt areas, the sensor and ignitor doesn't look like going to last longer.

130438-01 is a board number.

Flame sensor, board and igniter. Maybe a blower motor too.

The flame sensor is just a piece of metal. When it gets discolored.... sand or polish it clean.
An igniter is always a good spare part to have on hand. Don't change it until the one in there fails.

All flame sensor's work the same. Here's 2 pic of sensor's, just match it to the one in your furnace.

Thanks for the input.
oh yes i need to replace the blower capacitor. the tech suggested to go from a 370 to a 440, is this a good suggestion?

Any other sites that are reasonable and reliable to purchase from?

Either one would work. Make sure you get the same MFD as the old one. If you want a quality cap go to Motor-Run Capacitors online. Or you can find cheap chinese caps just about any where.

I have came up with different boards. my original board is HK42FZ013. When look for this board a replace comes up as HK42FZ034. Could i use the HK42FZ034 instead of the HK42FZ013 and what is the difference between the two? is the HK42FZ013 OEM and HK42FZ043 just a replacement part?

Go to Ebay look for ICM 282A. Same board but about $150 cheaper.
