I had to install a new furnace control board (White Rodgers 50A55-843) yesterday, and might have reversed the red wires into Y and R terminals on the board. Here was the original configuration: Y -- W -- R -- G -- C red & yellow -- white & white -- red -- green -- red & white I labeled the wires beforehand and think the red wires going into the R and Y terminals got mixed up or something . Issue: When the Humidifier (Aprilaire 600M) is ON, the furnace starts immediately with the blower engaging. The normal heating cycle (inducer fan, ignitor glows, burner engages with flames, blower engages) sequence is bypassed. With Humidifier in OFF position, the furnace starts normally with the heating cycle (inducer fan, ignitor, burner, blower, etc). I have been using this for past day as heater has been running fine as long as Humidifier is off. Should the red wires in the Y and R terminals be reversed so the Humidifier works correctly when it is on and doesn't interfere with heater startup cycle ? i.e., heater starts with normal sequence Thanks for your help and advice.

Carrier will cover the total cost for R&R of the secondary heat exchanger of my furnace do to a " Class Action Suit". Unit is a 90+ that is 15-20 years old with no other issues ( built on a Wednesday ). I can replace most of the components that go bad in the future and with you help trouble shoot them so I replace the correct part the first time. Question: Can have a new Primary Exchanger installed for $700 parts and labor while they are in the system and it is broken down. Good or Bad Idea?? Thanks All
