Mueller gas to propane conversion

I have an old Mueller gas furnace, model number 516-110, serial number 110. I would like to convert it to propane use but parts are no longer available. Does anyone know of a possible source for Mueller parts or have the knowledge which could allow me to use currently available parts to do this job?
Thanks,
Bix

I would be surprised if these parts are brand specific. I would think most competent furnace service people could do the conversion. If the furnace is worth the cost might be another question.

mueller gas to propane conversion

I have some additional information which may be helpful. I too a look at the burner today and what it is is a 12 to 13 inch diameter pie plate shaped piece with a hundred or more holes in it. I don't know anything about furnaces but from what I've read, this doesn't sound typical. I was hoping I could do this myself, but the videos I've seen show changing the orifices on more modern furnaces and a spring in the gas valve. Nothing like what I have. based on this, does anyone have some new advice or suggestions?
Thanks
Bix

Is that "pie plate" horizontal? If so, it sounds like a larger version of the type of burner in a water heater. I've never worked on a furnace with such a burner. Must be a real old timer.

Yea, it's pretty old. I haven't found a date on it, but I wouldn't be surprised if it dates back to the 1950s. I'll try and get some decent pictures to post.
Thanks, This furnace is in my garage. When it was hooked up to NG it worked just fine. It's pretty cold in there without it'
