Infrequent loud burner ignition
Moved into new construction in August. Furnace is a Johnson Controls-Coleman high efficiency. Model TG9S100C16MP11, built in December 2013. Electronic ignition (no pilot light). Furnace is 100% operational. My concern is the noise that sometimes is generated when the burners ignite. Most of the time it is a smooth "whoomp" burner ignition. Sometimes I will hear two "whoomp" sounds with the first being quiet and the second lone louder. Almost sounds like some of the duct work rattles too.
I was concerned that there may be a gas leak and the extra fuel is what is causing this noise. I made a service call with a local HVAC company and the tech found no gas leak anywhere. Pressure switch ok (1.9 iwc), Flame sensor ok (2.9 mia), Gas pressure ok (3.5 iwc). Inducer ok, blower motor ok. I also checked to see if any ductwork was shut and it's all open.
Here's the sequence:
Thermostat clicks and calls for heat.
Inducer starts.
After about 20 seconds I hear the burners ignite ("whoomp" sound) - it is at this stage that sometimes I hear two "whoomp" sounds. But never more than two. But when it is two it's a louder ignition sound than just one.
And then the blower fan starts.
Any feedback/comments appreciated. If tech can't find anything wrong maybe I shouldn't be concerned. Thank you.

Your burners are probably about 5" long & look like they have wings off each side. If this is the type of burners in your furnace, remove them & clean out the slots in the "wings". Those wings are how the flame travels from one burner to the next. A very thin putty knife of a blade type feeler gauge works well for cleaning out the slots. Often they get some rust in there which you can't even see & cause late ignition.

Here's the link to the manual for my furnace. Not sure if it is two stage as mentioned by Geo. Will also post a picture for Grady's reply. Thanks guys.
